Mindbrowse, Sssh.com to Host Annual 'Dynamics of Production' Seminar at XBIZ Show

LOS ANGELES — Mindbrowse and Sssh.com will host the seminar “Mindbrowse 2021: How the Pandemic Dramatically Shifted the Dynamics of Production” during the virtual XBIZ Show next week.

Organized and moderated by sociologist Dr. Chauntelle Tibbals, the event will take place on Monday January 11 from 2-3 p.m. (PST). Featured speakers include Free Speech Coalition's Lotus Lain, Meana Wolf, Britney Amber, Mike Quasar, ATMLA’s Mark Schechter, Nikki Night and Karla Lane.

"In recent years, production dynamics within the industry have been shifting significantly,” Tibbals explained. "Then the pandemic happened. And though COVID-19’s impact on every aspect of the wider social world is still unfolding, one clear effect it has already had on the industry is augmenting these seismic shifts."

During the seminar, speakers will discuss "the ways in which already shifting production dynamics were expedited and further shifted during 2020. Social impacts within the community, as well as speculations about the future, will also be discussed."

Tibbals will additionally invite live questions from the virtual audience.

This year's event marks the eighth time Mindbrowse and Sssh.com have produced and hosted a large “big picture,” think piece-level seminar seeking to explore industry wide issues and cultural shifts during the XBIZ Show in Los Angeles.

"Who knew when we broadcast our very first Mindbrowse seminar from the XBIZ Show floor so many years ago that virtual programming would one day become the norm?” Sssh.com Owner and Director Angie Rowntree said.

"Our intention with these seminars is always to provide a platform for a diverse array of perspectives from our community to come together to deep-dive on relevant topics — and to make that discussion as accessible as possible via technology,” Rowntree continued. “One welcome twist to the pandemic is that our goal of enhanced accessibility has become normalized."
